The Howard County Fair Queen Contest is open to anyone enrolled in an area High School, College or SWCID. The contestant can be sponsored by a local club, religious group, business or civic organization. Entry fee for the contest is $35.00 and can be paid by the sponsor or the contestant. The 2015 Howard County Fair Queen Contest will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2015 beginning at 5:30pm, under the Entertainment Tent at the Fairgrounds. Contestants should arrive by 4:30pm. Only the contestant and 1 guest will receive free admission to the Fair. The attire for the contest will be some type of dress, including evening gown, prom dress or a Sunday church dress.
The contestants will be graded by the judging panel on Poise, Personality and Response to questions asked by the Emcee. The Queen must be available 2 of the 3 nights and Saturday to present the awards as needed.
PRIZES: Howard College Scholarships:
Queen - $600.00 scholarship
1st Runner Up - $300.00 scholarship
In addition to the scholarships, numerous prizes have been donated by local businesses to be presented to contestants.
Miss Congeniality will be selected by the contestants and receive a gift.
Entry forms may be printed off here. All forms must be returned and the entry fee paid by September 23, 2015 at 6:30pm. The forms and entry fee can be returned to BBVA Compass at1500 Gregg St Big Spring, TX or the United Way office located in the Chamber of Commerce at 215 W 3rd St Big Spring, TX.
